Prompt & Solder has no accounts and collects as little as it can. This page covers the website, the Claude connector, the Claude plugin and the public search API.

The website

  • Analytics, only if you accept. Google Analytics cookies are set only if you choose Accept in the banner. Until then Google receives only cookieless, anonymous pings (Google Consent Mode). Advertising storage is always off. Your choice is remembered in your browser.
  • Searches. When you search, the words are counted anonymously to show popular searches. Nothing about you is stored with them.
  • Votes. So each person gets one vote per build and can change it, a vote is stored with a salted one-way hash of your internet address, never the address itself, and the time.
  • Ask Claude clicks are counted as daily totals, with nothing about who clicked.
  • Submissions. If you submit a build, we store what you type (the link, description, device, outcome, prompt and optional credit) so it can be reviewed. We never ask for an email address. Published builds show public information from their sources.

The Claude connector, plugin and search API

  • What we receive: the search words, build ids or filters your Claude sends, and the technical details any web request carries, such as your internet address. We never see your Claude conversation, account or files.
  • What we keep: we don’t save search words from the connector or API, and we don’t tie requests to people. The host’s access logs (below) do include the address of each request for about eight weeks; for the connector that’s just /mcp, for the search API it includes the search words.
  • Rate limit: to stop overload, your address is turned into a salted one-way hash that changes daily, used only to count requests per minute and deleted shortly afterwards.
  • Everything it returns is public: the tools only read the builds already shown on this website. Nothing can be changed through them.

Everywhere

  • Daily limits on searches, votes, submissions and clicks use a salted one-way hash that changes every day and is deleted after two days.
  • Our web host (IONOS) keeps standard access logs for about eight weeks, for security and to run the service. Each line records the internet address, time, browser and the address requested, which for the search API includes the search words. We don’t use them to track people.
  • We don’t sell or share data with anyone, apart from Google Analytics when you accept it, and our host as above.
  • Sources and photos belong to the people who shared them; each build links to the original.
