The full story
These remote-control apps for Xiaomi Mi TVs run on macOS (as a menu-bar app), Android and iOS, and control the TV over Wi-Fi without ADB. They use Xiaomi's built-in MiLink service, which needs no pairing, or Google's Android TV remote service on models without it. MiLink isn't documented, so its protocol was reverse engineered with REA.
