The full story
Text Twist 2 (GameHouse, 2008) shipped with word lists locked inside its Windows install. This project decoded the game logic and the .tree dictionary format with REA and Ghidra, then rebuilt the game in portable C++17 for desktop (SDL3) and Android. The author's main goal was to play it with a modern dictionary.
It ships a public-domain 2026 word list of 173,528 words. Swapping dictionaries is just a file swap, and there are no third-party libraries in the engine.
