The full story
The poster had always preferred SpaceMonger 1.40, an old program for finding out what is using disk space, over newer versions and alternatives such as WinDirStat and TreeSize. Claude built a clone in about an hour: it scans every file, collects paths and sizes, then works out how much area each box should take, recursively for every folder.
He then added three features he had wanted for about 25 years: permanently ignoring folders such as C:\Windows, a list of words whose names are always hidden, and a quick-hide key that removes a box for the session so everything else grows to fill the space.
