The full story
The poster's spouse jokes the house will stop working without them, so they built a tool with a lot of help from Claude.ai to document their Home Assistant system automatically. A detailed config file in the Home Assistant directory is updated weekly by Claude over an MCP connection.
A Python script then turns that file into readable pages and publishes them to a BookStack add-on. Everything stays on the local network, and they suggest a local LLM could do the same job.
