The full story
A long-term proposal: use REA's agents to study how Microsoft's DirectX behaves, then feed that into the compatibility layers that run Windows games on Linux and macOS (Wine, Proton, DXVK, VKD3D-Proton, Apple's Game Porting Toolkit). The aim isn't to copy DirectX. It is to find and confirm undocumented behaviour faster, by comparing reconstructed functions with the original and testing repeatedly. It's an idea for discussion, not a project.
