The full story
The poster wanted a 3D view of their home on a wall display, where tapping a light shows what is happening in a room and controls it. Claude built most of HomeTwin, including the architecture, editor and interface, while the poster guided, reviewed and tested it in their own Home Assistant setup.
An AI feature turns an uploaded floor plan into rooms, doors and windows, which the user then checks and corrects. It is described as a public beta, MIT-licensed, with English and German interfaces. The repo includes a skill that lets Claude turn a photo and dimensions into a shared library object.
