Years ago the author couldn't afford Moog's Subharmonicon, so they coded one with the Web Audio API to beat "gear acquisition syndrome". That grew into Gasfree, a free rack of synthesisers, drum machines, sequencers and effects in the browser. You patch them together with virtual cables, play them from a MIDI controller and write songs.
