The full story

Garmin runs reached Strava with generic names, leaving Matt Glaman to copy workout details by hand. Working with Claude Code, he built a Drupal webhook that matches the two services by activity start time after finding that Strava's external identifier was not the Garmin activity ID.

The webhook updates generic names while preserving manual titles and existing descriptions. It answers Strava before processing the queue, formats nested workout repeats and leaves an activity unchanged when Garmin fails. Claude initially triggered a Garmin rate limit during testing, then repeated a smaller test with delays.

The maker reports completing the change in under two hours and testing it with a real subsequent run. He directed the work, reviewed the results and decided when to merge.

Device and compatibility

The described after-response processing uses PHP-FPM.

What this is. Real projects where people used Claude to build, fix, port, revive or take apart something, from jailbroken Kindles to rebuilt DOS games, plus the times it went badly wrong. Every build links to where it was shared, and every source is listed here.

How far to trust it. We summarise what people reported and say what each build rests on: a full write-up with code, a short post, or a passing comment. We haven't tested them ourselves. Photos are shown from the original sources with credit. Only modify hardware you own, and back up first.

Searches are counted anonymously (just the words) to show what's popular, and so are clicks on Ask Claude (just the count). The Claude connector only receives the search words your Claude sends it.
