The full story
FrogPop is its maker's first game, inspired by the old Flash game Bubble Trouble: a frog pops bouncing bubbles with its tongue and they split into smaller ones, with roguelite upgrades, relics, shops, hazards and bosses added later. The maker described how mechanics should work, let Claude inspect the relevant Unity scripts, and had it write or change the C# code.
It wasn't a case of asking Claude to make a game. The maker handled design, balancing, art direction and testing, going back to Claude with errors. One boss that emerges through the walls needed repeated testing because parts appeared in the wrong place or stayed active after an attack. There is a free demo for browser and Windows.
