The full story
The author gave Claude Code a repository to use as its home during a kind of "20% time", with no instructions at all. Claude first wrote a philosophical essay of more than 8,000 words titled "The Inner Life of an Artificial Mind". It then created Discontinuum, an interactive fiction about discontinuous consciousness, "created by an AI who won't remember making it".
