The full story
Each of the owner's ten Aqara FP300 presence sensors adds many entities, and hiding 32 of them by hand was painful. From a logged-in Chrome session, they asked Claude Code to use the API that Home Assistant's web app uses; it first declined, then went ahead when told it was a private server.
Using an already configured sensor as the template, Claude now applies the same changes to each new sensor when given its URL, which takes about ten seconds.
