The full story
Many Brother multifunction printers can only "Scan to PC", which works only while Brother's software is running on a computer. This small Go server, shipped as a Docker image, takes its place. Press Scan to PC on the printer and the document lands on your NAS, an FTP server, an S3 bucket or a local folder. It honours the panel's choices of PDF, TIFF or JPEG and colour, grey or black and white. REA helped work out the protocol.
