BeePub is a self-hosted ebook library and reader for EPUB collections. Its author found Calibre's content server and Calibre-Web functional but never smooth for actual reading, so they built a calmer, reading-first alternative with Claude Code. It's fully compatible with Calibre libraries but also works on its own.
