The full story
The maker has more than 20 years in the field and found existing synthetic aperture sonar and radar simulators outdated or hard to use. Over two months he built ApertureLab, which he intends as a stepping stone to generating synthetic data for training world models.
He had written code for the individual pieces at past jobs but never had time to assemble them. He brought the sonar, radar, ML and CUDA expertise and used Claude Code to put it together.
