An RC skid steer designed by Claude Code through Fusion 360
A working 3D printed RC skid steer whose CAD was written by Claude Code through a Fusion 360 MCP over 16 days.
The full story
A maker with about two years of CAD experience tried handing the modelling of a 3D printed RC skid steer to AI, using Claude Code and a Fusion 360 MCP. The project took 16 days and 163 prompts, much of it spent playing games while the agent wrote modelling scripts.
The result is a fully functional device; the maker says it is not perfect but it works and is fun, and that it is "definitely not a magic button".
