The full story
Ink Almanac is an ambient dashboard on a 9.7-inch Inkplate 10 e-ink display, driven almost entirely by Home Assistant and built with Claude Code. It's battery-powered, with about three months between charges. Five views rotate through the day. For example, mornings show a large Didone-style clock, the weather with a minute-by-minute nowcast ("clearing in 21 min") and a short poem. The code is on GitHub.
