The full story
Ninja Ripper is used to rip 3D models from DirectX objects in memory, and there was an existing Blender Python importer for its .nr files. The poster wanted a simple standalone 3D viewer based on it. Codex failed several times, giving up on the maths, so they turned to Claude.
Claude took 4 to 5 minutes where the poster says Codex took far longer. It struggled a little, then realised the vertex coordinates had to be reprojected from the camera view so the models did not look like flat, skewed cardboard. The goal is to grow it into an Adobe Bridge style browser for more obscure 3D formats.
