A solar-system map zooms from planetary orbits to craters
Claude helped build a Three.js browser map and process NASA and USGS surface data, with eclipse, sky-view and spacecraft-flyby controls.

The full story
The maker wanted a browser solar system with planetary sizes, distances and orbits on the same scale, with zoom continuing down to craters on the Moon, Mars and Mercury. The resulting single-file Three.js app also includes an eclipse finder, a view from Earth, spacecraft flybys and shareable scenes.
Claude wrote most of the code, processed NASA and USGS datasets into streaming tiles and used headless-browser screenshots to check rendering. The maker directed details such as orbit lines and place names, and still had to catch errors, including a deployment mistake that left GitHub Pages blank. Some fixes took several rounds and long sessions required context to be explained again.
