The full story
Over winter the maker wondered whether they could run a whole growing season with Claude. In March they started planning the greenhouse for seedlings in the Claude app, then moved on through connectors and Cowork to Claude Code. Claude convinced them to set up various sensors, and they built a harness that pulls weather data and gives watering and fertiliser recommendations, alongside spreadsheets, tracking apps, cron jobs and data analysis.
They say Claude had to explain what a terminal was. The result, by their account: more data than ever, more plants from the greenhouse and, it seems, more sweet potatoes in the field.
