The full story
Through HA-MCP, a community server with deeper management tools than Home Assistant's built-in one, Claude audited a Home Assistant install: old devices, missing entities, broken automations, unused integrations and dashboard errors. It started in read-only mode, then, with write and delete tools switched on, removed old devices and integrations and fixed "Entity not found" errors.
The creator's advice: make a backup, start read-only, and tell Claude what it must not change. An unavailable device isn't always abandoned; seasonal heating, solar and pool systems can look dead for months.
