The full story
Security Monitor is a Home Assistant pilot that puts security visibility in an admin-only sidebar panel. It shows failed logins, bans and token use, flags unused long-lived tokens, lists outbound integration connections and reports settings such as missing MFA. The maker says all data stays local.
Claude Code wrote the integration while the maker designed and tested it. The project is offered through Marketplace, formerly HACS, alongside a request for similar visibility in Home Assistant Core.
This is a custom integration relying on internal Home Assistant interfaces rather than stable public APIs. It is a pilot, not a feature already merged into Core.
