The full story
The poster built a mapping tool for a friend's Warhammer Fantasy RPG group. The group projects a player-facing map onto a table and plays with miniatures. Maps start under fog of war and fade in when the GM clicks a room or door, and secrets and traps can be revealed by clicking icons.
The GM uses an editor to trace rooms on uploaded images, add doors, secrets and traps, and link floors. Maps save as a single JSON file with images embedded, plus a player HTML file. Claude also wrote a user guide, though showing the GM in person was easier.
