The full story
To diagnose a fault on his 2015 Audi A5, Carswell's Customs built a chain of AI tools rather than just asking a chatbot. It took in an Autel OBD-II scanner report and photos of the spark plugs, and a Python scraper (written with Gemini's help) gathered transcripts and, especially, comments from YouTube repair videos as a knowledge base.
A Claude instance acted as the main diagnostic agent, combining the scan, the photos and the community knowledge and checking forums and service bulletins with web search. The resulting repair plan saved him over $500.
