The full story
The poster had a Kindle bought more than 10 years ago whose touch screen barely worked, and asked Claude to turn it into a clock and weather display so they could check for rain before going out.
The jailbreak was the hard part and needed manual restarts. Once Claude had installed SSH on the Kindle, the rest worked smoothly. The repo is shared.
