Recovering encoding settings from a commercial video client
Which encoding parameters can be recovered, checked against native traces.

The full story
This Chinese-language study asks how much of a video app's encoding settings REA can recover. It examined a commercial Windows client statically, and to get a known answer, built its own native transcoding app. On that controlled sample, REA and Ghidra recovered all 63 configuration values correctly. The report carefully separates requested settings, actual encoder settings and the resulting streams, measured on four real videos.
