The full story
The maker's mother was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, and they wanted her tablet games to help rather than serve ads. Using workbooks and activities found online and from her speech therapist, they had Gemini and Claude expand on the ideas behind the activities.
They fed the models real research papers, had the two check each other's work and forced citations to reduce hallucinations, and had everything translated into several languages. The app has no ads and collects no data. The maker is still trying to get native speakers to check the wording.
