The full story
Infinite Night is a Vampire Survivors-style dark fantasy action RPG on Steam with three characters, 24 weapons and seven languages. Its maker, a backend developer with no game development experience, wrote design documents while Claude Code wrote all the code, working directly in the Unity Editor through Unity MCP.
It wasn't quick: when Claude misread what was wanted it produced completely wrong code, and debugging took about half the development time. In a follow-up post the maker said most players quit after about ten minutes, and that they had since rebuilt almost every part of the game to fix it.
