A Sublime Text package that turns code into music
Claude Code wrote Synesthete, a Sublime Text package that composes music from the code being edited and from changes Claude makes.

The full story
Synesthete composes music from code line by line: deeper-indented lines play higher, each line's text picks the note, function definitions bring in the bass and broken lines sound dissonant. Code quality picks the instruments, from a harp for clean code to a singing saw for cursed code. In project mode, every file Claude Code changes plays an accent.
Claude Code wrote all of it in one long session while the poster listened and gave feedback. Its first synthesized sounds were "like a broken TV", so it switched to public-domain orchestral samples, and it tuned project mode by making good and bad changes to a test repo.
